The Foundations of America Tour is our most ambitious and comprehensive educational journey β a 9-day odyssey tracing the birth and rise of the United States across four of its most historically significant cities. Students begin in Boston, where colonial patriots ignited the revolution, follow the trail south through New York City (America's global gateway), stop in Philadelphia to stand inside the room where the nation was born, and culminate in Washington, DC β the living symbol of American democracy.
This isn't just a trip β it's an immersive, curriculum-aligned experience that brings every chapter of the American history textbook to life. By the time students arrive home, they will have walked the Freedom Trail, touched a Moon rock, seen the Liberty Bell, sat in the gallery of the U.S. Capitol, and watched the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
With TourDCwithUS handling every logistical detail β transportation, accommodations, tickets, guides, and 24/7 support β teachers can focus entirely on connecting their students to the history unfolding around them.

βWe did the full 9-day Foundations tour with our 8th graders last spring and the transformation I witnessed was extraordinary. By the time we reached Washington, DC, my students had so much historical context built up from Boston and Philadelphia that everything in the Capitol came alive for them. Several students cried at the Vietnam Memorial. That's the power of this journey done right.β

βThe logistics of managing a 9-day, 4-city trip for 52 students sounds terrifying. With TourDCwithUS, it was genuinely the least stressful trip I've ever organized. Lorna had a detailed briefing document ready two months before departure. Every bus, every hotel, every ticket was already sorted. My job was just to enjoy it with my students.β
