Hotels = Luxury. The highest level of comfort and service. All accommodations are in four or five star hotels, boutique lodges or high-end homestays.

We created our “Senior Tour” after doing a web search, and seeing that there aren’t many tours out there that let people just slow down.  We have carefully planned this tour so that we see all of the biggest highlights, but this tour is about quality, not quantity, of sites we visit.

We purposefully didn’t plan in all of the meals so that you don’t feel forced to eat a meal just because you paid for it, or because it’s “what the group is doing”.  During your free time, your Tour Directors will both be available to join you while you are out and about, or, if you prefer to have some free time to yourself, there won’t be any pressure on our part to join the group.

About Val di Non:

The Val di Non valley is known above all for its tasty apples grown at high altitudes. An enchanting scenery with quaint villages and mighty mountains is waiting for you.

The St. Romedio sanctuary is one of the most particular sanctuaries in Europe. The Saint Romedio sanctuary is near the village San Zeno in the Val di Non and it is the most interesting example of medieval Christian art in the Trentino region. This is a famous pilgrimage place which is built on a 70-metre high calcareous rock.
This architectonic building is surrounded by a wonderful natural landscape and it is composed of several churches and chapels directly on the rock. The whole structure is connected by a steep stairway with 131 steps. The oldest chapel of the building dates back to the 11th century

Private Guided Tour with 2 Tour Directors during the entire Tour!

Dante and I will be directing the trip together! You will have us at your service to help with translation, navigation, free time activities, shopping, museum visits, EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!! Because there are 2 of us, we can spend more personal time with our guests, so that nobody feels like a burden.  If someone needs to take a break, one of us can stay with you while the other stays with the group.

If some of you would like to shop while others visit a museum, you will have both of us available to assist.  There are 2 Tour Directors at your disposal!  So often when traveling as a couple or with friends or family, you feel pulled one direction because one person wants to do something different.  We are here to make your vacation as amazing as possible!

We have made every effort to make this tour comfortable and slower paced, but inevitably, in Italy, there is always some walking.  We ask that you are able to walk or stand for 15 minutes without sitting down (think about a walk around Costco!), and that you are able to walk up and down one flight of stairs.  There may be instances where a restaurant is on the ground floor, but the restroom is on another floor!  A great idea may be to bring a cane that opens into a stool to use during our guided tour days if standing for long periods of time is difficult for you.  Please be aware that not all surfaces are smoothly paved; comfortable walking shoes are recommended every day.

One thing that Dante and I pride ourselves on is our flexibility with the itinerary.   We have been known to pull over for that amazing photo stop, to stop to pet goats and sheep along the roadside, or even to spend an hour trying to get to a waterfall over an overpass!  This is YOUR TOUR, and we can’t stress that enough.  If it’s important to you, it’s important to us, and it’s spontaneity that has helped us create many of our tours!
