WHY IS THIS TOUR ONLY FOR LADIES?

We have created this tour based on feedback from our guests over the years. Many women have said that they would love to travel, but don’t have anyone to travel with.
Traveling in a group is less expensive than traveling alone, and often safer, too. Many solo travelers don’t want to be stuck in a group made up of only couples, and they aren’t looking to be harassed by other passengers.
As a woman Tour Director, I feel that my “Ladies Only” tours are a great way for me to share my passion for travel with guests who otherwise may not be willing or able to travel.

Will I need a visa to travel to Italy?
Italy is part of the Schengen travel zone. Until the end of 2021, Canadian and US citizens do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days within the zone. The European Travel Information and Authorization System, or ETIAS, takes effect from January 2022. The ETIAS negates the need for a tourist visa for both US and Canadian citizens. It instead requires incoming travellers to register and pay a small fee at least 15 days before arriving in Europe. Each authorization is good for up to 3 years, provided the authorized passport does not expire during that time. If a traveller changes or renews their passport, they will need to re-apply for new authorization under the ETIAS.
Is Italy safe?
In normal circumstances, yes—Italy is a safe place for travel. Here's what you need to know about traveling to Italy in the age of the coronavirus:
June 17th: Italy has lifted its travel restrictions for select countries. Citizens from the EU, the UK, or from within the Schengen Zone can travel to Italy. They do not have to quarantine.
However, Italy still has travel restrictions for citizens of countries outside of Europe.

Do I need to be vaccinated to enter Italy?
Both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers from the United States are permitted to enter Italy without a negative COVID test or proof of recovery.
Once you’ve arrived, you’ll need to check and follow the COVID-19 rules in Italy.

Do I need Travel Insurance?
YES! Regardless of your vaccine status, I cannot impress upon my guests enough the importance of travel insurance with CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) and IFAR (Interruption for Any Reason) options. Insurance understandably costs more now than in the Before Times, but it is worth every penny both should you need it, and for peace of mind.
Vaccinations and drinking water in Italy
If you’re traveling from the US and are up to date on your regular vaccines, you’re all set in terms of medical preparations. No special vaccines or medicines required! And although you’ll be mostly drinking Aperol spritz, Chianti, or other classic Italian drinks, be reassured that you can totally drink the water. Italy’s tap water is safe. In fact, it’s just as good or even better than what you’d drink in the US.
Is Italy a family-friendly destination?
Italy is a destination that has something to offer to everyone. From mouthwatering cuisine, historical landmarks, and breathtaking natural surroundings, the country offers endless options for its visitors. Families with young children will have no challenges finding something to do as there are many excursions and activities to keep both parents and children interested and eager.
